Hey! Listen!

…OK, that was lame. But we needed to get your attention. See, The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword just hit stores. And we're looking for articles about Link's latest adventure.

Skyward Sword

If young elfin lads in green garb aren't your thing (not like that, you sickos), maybe you'd like to write about the latest Elder Scrolls game, Skyrim, instead. We'll take anything you can give us; we're not picky. (Again: not like that.)

The usual rules apply: You're welcome to write up a simple review if you like, but we'd love to see you tap into that famous Bitmob creativity, too. It doesn't have to be long or fancy…anything that tells us how you feel about the game (or games) is fine by us.

Need some ideas? Here are a few things to get you going:

For Skyward Sword:

  • How does the new art style affect the Zelda experience? Do puzzles or battles feel different?
  • Skyward Sword depicts a Zelda and Link who have already forged a friendship before this adventure. How does that change your motivation as a player?
  • The Wii MotionPlus plays a big role in combat in Skyward Sword. How accurate is it? Compare combat to previous games in the series.

For Skyrim:

  • The game revolves around a conflict between the ruling Empire and the Stormcloak rebels. Which side did you pick and why? What would the war look like from each perspective?
  • The Elder Scrolls series provides some pretty unique gameplay experiences. Narrate one of your character's adventures through a dungeon or battle (or even a quest for a hard-to-find alchemical compound).
  • Do you read all the books you find in Skyrim? Try your hand at writing one of your own, with your character as the central figure.

Now that your motors are running (still not like that, guys), here's how to participate:

1. Write any article related to Skyward Sword or Skyrim. A few hundred words will suffice, although you can go longer if you'd like.

2. Make sure you put The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword or The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim in the tags for your article — and don't forget to tag any other games you mention. (Note the full names and numbering to make sure you're using the correct tag.)

3. Submit your articles to the Mobfeed by Thursday, December 1. We'll publish the collected works the following day.

That's it — time to get writing!
