David Jaffe and Sweet ToothI, for one, did not find anything earth shattering about the Sony press conference, but it was strong nonetheless. It did, however, contain an all-time great moment for E3 events: Gabe Newell's appearance. It was quite the surprise, but it might also signify a sea change regarding console and PC gaming…and I only say that because Valve, the company Newell heads up, has quite the track record. For more on this — and plenty of other announcements — check out the Sony press conference recap in, as usual, limerick form.

There once was a company called Sony,
Who wanted to show they weren't phony.
Plenty to prove
With a product called Move.
But is motion control just baloney?

Gabe Newell's appearence garnered some smirks;
Portal 2 with support from Steamworks.
Surprise appearance,
With executive clearance.
But wasn't he so awkward it hurts?

Jack Tretton unveiled PSN Plus
To clean up some of their online rust.
Plenty of features
For PlayStation creatures.
But really, is this service a must?

Killzone 3 will be played in 3D;
A spectacle everybody should see.
As much as it tries,
Will it ruin my eyes?
Or just leave my pants soaked in pee?

David Jaffe showed up with Sweet Tooth,
Revealing he had not told the truth.
Old-school car combat:
That's where it's at
A surprise announcement that raised the roof.

Heroes on the Move with an all-star cast:
Featured mascots from present and past.
Rachet and Jax;
Sly Cooper is back.
Let's hope it doesn't control like ass.
