What is it?

This Xbox 360/PS3 beat-em-up features quick-time events during the cinematic battles and huge god bosses. Sounds familiar, right? Yes, it's a bit of God of War, only with absurd Japanese-anime over-the-top-ness, starring a cyborg demigod with six arms.

Why is it cool?

I don't recall ever liking quick-time events after Shenmue, but Asura's Wrath makes them cool again. The game doesn't necessarily do anything fresh with them — it's more about consistency (the same button always catches giant missiles and flips them back at enemies, for example) and the crazy on-screen action your correct inputs will produce. According to Bobby Tunick, associate product manager on Asura's Wrath, the god-in-space Great Wyzen has "a finger the size of Tennessee." Texas might've been more impressive, but still…that's pretty big.
