Our advice for advisory titles is simple: use them! Of all our writing tips, this may be the easiest to implement; it will take only a few words worth of typing. This little bit of effort can have a major effect.
You'll see two instances in the article editor where you can use them: when adding images and when adding links. While they may seem small, they can be very important to your story — they help search engines find your articles. The appropriate advisory titles can get you a lot more hits!
For images, whether a screenshot or something else, just describe the photo in the "Title" box in the "Image" pop-up. At the very least, provide the game's name. You can also add what section of the game it's from, the characters and the enemies featured, and maybe even a brief description of the action. You would not believe the amount of traffic we get through the variety of image search engines, and adding the title will help.
As for links, type in the title or appropriate description of the link's target into the box underneath the URL in the "Link" pop-up. For links to other Bitmob posts, the article's title will be fine. Again, this improves the chances your article will be displayed in searches when those search engines index your page. You're also doing your reader's a favor. Sometimes the text associated with a link doesn't tell the whole story. By providing the advisory text, your readers can mouse over a link and get a bit more information about where you want them to visit.
Also, don't forget to fill out the "Keywords" and "Description" boxes in the article editor. Think of those as advisory titles for your entire article.

Style update: For those following this series, you'll remember our advice on tags. The comments of that article got into some very advanced style for linking. For anyone who was following that completely optional advice, you may stop. Bitmob editors and writers will no longer be tagging to games within the body of an article. We will continue providing links to tags of recurring article series (such as this one!), a technique that Bitmob community members will use rarely. So rule of thumb: no linking to tags within the body of an article — just adding the appropriate tag for a game will suffice.
