The bot trend is currently taking the tech industry by storm, but don’t mistake this sudden rise to fame as another fad. More and more companies are discovering how beneficial bot use can be for their businesses, and it’s only becoming more obvious as bigger brands are jumping in and reaping the rewards.

We’ve seen major brands — such as Pizza HutWhole Foods, and Yamato’s Line — launch chatbots to improve customer service and to give consumers a far simpler and entertaining way to order their products. For instance, to promote the critically acclaimed comedy “Silicon Valley,” HBO partnered with bot-maker Luka to create chatbots that perfectly emulate the unique personalities of the characters. Luka’s bots are available on Telegram, which has garnered more than 100 million active users since February. Major news companies have also joined the fray with CNN — one of the early news organization to launch a chatbot on Facebook Messenger — extending its reach on Kik Bot Shop.

Speaking of Facebook Messenger, the platform has reached 1 billion monthly active users, a quick progression of the user-base population from Facebook’s announcement of 900 million monthly users just three months ago. There are currently more than 18,000 bots launched in the app, with more developers in line to jump in the fray. If the message isn’t clear, implementing an effective bot strategy has become a recipe for success.

At this point, B2B and B2C companies ignoring bot benefits are leaving serious money on the table. Bots have a lot to offer for business, and in this panel, we’ll go over how companies can use them to their advantage. If you’re unsure what steps to take in implementing a successful bot strategy for your business and the consumers that drive your bottom line, this panel is for you.
