4SeTV will let you watch four live TV shows at the same time

4SeTV wants to launch a box that will help you watch four different TV shows at the same time. That lets you multitask like never before when it comes to viewing your television shows.

The company is launching a Kickstarter campaign on Aug. 19, and it is revealing a new piece of its business model. Once it has enough customers, it will pay those customers to watch TV. It will do that by running targeted ads in a quarter of the screen. 4SeTV will share ad revenue generated from this. The name means “four screen enhanced TV.”

You can watch four live programs simultaneously on cable TV or over-the-air broadcasts. Service providers and over-the-top intellectual property streaming device will benefit from. People already view multiple screens at once, but they must have two screens or more. Sports fans are likely to be prime target.

Hyung Lim, president and founder of 4SeTV, got tired of watching one program on a big screen. So he figured out how to get four streams to run at once.

“I understand what technology people already own and understand what can solve this problem at minimum cost,” he said. “I drew up a business plan, found partners and got funded.”

4SeTV says that family members can watch favorite shows at the same time. The company has about 16 people working on the project. Rivals include SimpleTV and Tablo TV, but 4SeTV will have a technical edge. In the long run, the company wants its technology built into a set-top box.

“We are the only one doing four screen TV experience,” Lim said.

Investors include Lim, Sam Yu, and South Korea’s Digital Media Technology (DMT). The company has raised $12,500, and it wants to raise at least $50,000 more via Kickstarter.

You can watch four live shows on a range of devices, including TVs, tablets, and smartphones. It will run on devices with iOS 7.x and Android Kit Kat version 4.4. You can set up three simple steps. You connect a router, the power, and an antenna.

The company plans to ship its first devices in November.
