Marketplace for veterinarian services Kuddly announced today that it fetched a $1.5 million investment for its seed round in October. The investment came from Exponential Partners and will allow Kuddly to fuel growth and tech development, the startup said.

The mobile-first service offers pet owners access to professional pet care advice through a marketplace. Certified veterinarians will answer questions about the pet’s health and wellbeing at a low cost, in comparison to vet visits.

The pet parent can either chat for 12 minutes with a specialist starting at $10, or pay $2 per email.

Kuddly officially launched its service in the summer of 2015.
