A video demo of the new Apple TV shows a simple and elegant interface

After Apple’s press conference today, we were able to check out demos of new Apple products. Here’s our video of the new Apple TV’s user interface.

The device is about a quarter of the size of the old Apple TV and has just three plugs: an ethernet jack, a high-definition multimedia interface (HDMI) slot, and a power cable slot.

The remote is a simple silver device that is longer than the older, easy-to-lose original remote. It has a play button, a menu button, and a navigational pad.

The user interface is pretty with blue and black features. You can surf your own iTunes collection and stream movies, TV shows, music and photos to the Apple TV device, which will put them up on any connected HDMI-compatible screen. You can start watching a movie in the living room and, if you have another Apple TV, you can finish watching it in another room. You can also do the same with an iPad.
