San Francisco startup Acompli has finally launched its business-email app for iOS devices in the App Store, and it’s off to a terrific start.

The app, which pulls in calendar and contact information and files to help people get more done on their mobile devices, had catapulted to the No. 9 slot in the free productivity-app section of the app store as of this morning.

Anyone can download the app and connect it to Gmail, Google Apps, or Microsoft Exchange. But Acompli, whose founders pack enterprise software experience, aims to make this app popular among individual employees here and there and gradually turn it into a hit across whole companies.
