GrowthBeat, our new event exploring the data, apps, and science of successful marketing, is coming up on Aug. 5 and Aug. 6 in San Francisco.
Today, we’re excited to announce a new session with Adobe VP of strategy John Mellor.

The other three are Oracle, Salesforce, and IBM. Adobe prides itself on being a pure play, catering to CMOs’ needs more than these other players.
Meanwhile, Oracle has been pouring billions into acquiring marketing technology companies, including Eloqua and Responsys, while Salesforce has done the same, buying up Pardot, ExactTarget, Radian6, and BuddyMedia. IBM, too, has acquired Silverpop, Unica, and CoreMetrics.
Adobe has focused its energies on sensible integration, recently introducing Core Services, a common layer that deeply integrates all six of the company’s marketing solutions in what Adobe says removes the pain of IT integrations away from already-busy marketers.
We’ll hear from Adobe’s main strategy person on what’s next from them in this race to become the leading marketing cloud.
This is just one of many great sessions at GrowthBeat, where we’re gathering marketing visionaries to unclutter the landscape, simplify the functions, clarify the goals, and point the way to success.
We’ll be announcing a bunch of speaker and program updates in the coming days, so stay tuned. For more on the vision of GrowthBeat, including themes and takeaways, you can head over to our event site.
