Amazon is making it easier for you to buy its virtual assistant and media tower, the Amazon Echo.
The company says that soon Home Depot, Staples, Sears, BJ’s, P.C. Richard & Son, and a variety of other retailers will carry the Echo. The announcement comes as many stores prepare for the holiday shopping season.

The Echo is designed to play music on demand, answer questions about events, news, and weather, as well as help people create to-do and shopping lists. It can also hook into a home network to control connected lightbulbs, thermostats, and other Internet-enabled devices directly from the Alexa app. Most importantly — for the Everything Store– the Echo helps people automatically order household items through Amazon.
The device costs $179.99 and was previously only available on Amazon’s website. Amazon says it is slowly rolling out the device to stores over the next several weeks.
