Apple-branded Beats headphones are on the way, FCC filing says

The FCC’s testing department has made public a testing diagram of some new Apple-branded Beats headphones. The cans look just like Beats’ last release, the Solo2 phones, but they use Bluetooth 4.0 low energy technology to connect to a paired device.

The FCC documents list Apple as the owner and brand of the headphones. The Apple brand appears on the packaging of the product, too. The Beats names appears only in the packaging’s fine print.

The FCC materials did not specify when the new headphones will be available, nor did it mention the variety of colors the phones might come in.

It’s likely that the product will sell at slightly more than the $200 price of the Solo2 headphones.
