Apple finally brings transit directions to its Maps app

Apple is introducing public transit directions to its Maps service on iOS and Mac.

Today’s announcement, widely rumored, arrives two years after Apple acquired public transit startup HopStop — and three years since Apple kicked Google Maps off iOS.
