Time to queue up “Get Off My Cloud” by the Rolling Stones. Apple iCloud senior manager John Herbold has departed Apple to join online healthcare service HealthTeacher as vice president of product.
“I’ve been fortunate enough to define, ship and market a variety of products for one of the world’s most admired product companies,” Herbold wrote on LinkedIn. “That opportunity was a great privilege. Now I get to take that experience and apply it to the enormous challenge of materially improving your health.”
Apple’s much-hyped iCloud storage service will launch this fall, but it now has one less team member to help work out the kinks before its public launch. iCloud sets out to unify a user’s media content across iOS devices like the iPhone and iPad and Mac computers.
Before working on the creation and development of iCloud, Herbold worked on various products at Apple, including Photo Stream and MobileMe. Herbold was previously a technology investment banking analyst at A.G. Edwards & Sons.
