Apple is planning a more expansive refresh of its Mac portfolio, with new MacBook Air and iMac models on the way, and they could arrive as soon as October, according to a new report.

What’s more, Apple is also developing a new 5K display in partnership with LG, Bloomberg reported today, citing unnamed sources.

The new Macs would be in addition to the previously rumored refreshed MacBook Pro featuring a touch bar. That device is expected to boast four USB-C ports, and sure enough, USB-C will be coming to the new MacBook Air line as well, Bloomberg said. The 2015 and 2016 MacBook have also featured USB-C, albeit with no other port beside a headphone jack.

Consumers will be able to buy the new iMac with an AMD graphics processing unit (GPU), the new report said — that would put the new model on par with previous models.

Of all Apple’s platforms, the Mac is the oldest, and it has not received as many major updates as iOS. Apple last refreshed the iMac and MacBook Air last year, although the changes were not very significant. Apple is set to refresh the iPhone next week.

Also today Bloomberg reported that the iPad will see a software update in the first half of 2017, specifically letting users do more with the Apple Pencil, which has been limited to the iPad Pro.

The report did not say anything about Mac Pro or Mac Mini updates coming in the near future. The former was last updated in 2013 and the latter in 2014.
