Today Apple announced that its advertising platform iAd is now available in a total of 95 countries across the globe.

This expansion is noteworthy for Apple, as the four-year-old ad platform only recently hit 25 countries earlier this month.

In a short post buried within its developer site, Apple wrote:

“iAd is now available in 70 additional countries across the Americas, Europe, Asia, the Middle East, Africa, and Australia, expanding global reach to 95 countries.”

iAd may still be a pet project for Apple, but today’s expansion suggests the company has bigger plans in mind.
