Apple announced a new processor, the A10 Fusion, for its new iPhone 7 smartphone.
Speaking on stage at Apple’s iPhone 7 event in San Francisco, Phil Schiller, senior vice president of worldwide marketing at Apple, said, “The A10 Fusion is the most powerful chip ever in a smartphone.” Take that, Samsung. (Or maybe Samsung is fabricating it?).

The A10 is a 64-bit processor with four cores. The graphics performance is 50 percent faster than the A9, and three times faster than the A8.
That processing performance is going to enable better game performance. Schiller showed “console quality” games such as Codemasters’ F1 2016 game.
