Although its been predicted for years, Apple finally decided to stop selling the iPod Classic today.

With the rise of streaming music services, Apple’s iTunes Match, and the newly announced 128GB iPhone 6 model, it’s understandable that Apple would finally kill off the Classic.

The move happened when Apple updated its online store earlier today with new product pages for the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus. As part of the same update, the company also removed the iPod Classic listing from the store, redirecting the old product page to the overall iPod splash page.

The iPod Classic was first introduced in 2007 alongside Apple’s new flagship device, the iPhone. The “Classic” had six different models, with the final version featuring 160 GB of storage. It survived for so long because it had more storage space than any other iPod model, which allowed people to upload their entire library of songs in one place. Obviously, that’s less of a selling point for many people who prefer to listen to music on streaming services, such as Spotify, iTunes Radio, and Beats Music.
