Apple’s App Store, iCloud, iTunes, TV, Photos, and other services are down (Update: Fixed)

Apple today confirmed downtime for many of its online services, including the App Store, iCloud Contacts, iCloud Keychain, and the Apple TV.

Also affected: Back to My Mac, Documents in the Cloud, Find My Friends, Find My iPhone/iPad/iPod Touch/Mac, iCloud Account and Sign In, iCloud Backup, iCloud Bookmarks, & Tabs, iCloud Calendar, iCloud Drive, iCloud Notes, iCloud Reminders, iCloud Storage Upgrades, iCloud Web Apps (iCloud.com), iPhone Calls to iPad/Mac, iTunes in the Cloud, iWork for iCloud, Mac App Store, Mail Drop, Photos, iMovie Theater, and the Volume Purchase Program.

“Users are experiencing a problem with the service listed above,” Apple said on its status page, as of 1:50 p.m. Pacific. “We are investigating and will update the status as more information becomes available.” The downtime appears to have started before 1 p.m.

Services are a promising area of business for Apple. In April, the company reported that it generated $5.99 billion in the second quarter of its 2016 fiscal year, up 20 percent year over year.

Update at 2:13 p.m. Pacific: Now iMovie Theater is back.

Update at 3:48 p.m. Pacific: Now Apple says the App Store, the Apple TV, iTunes in the Cloud, the Mac App Store, and the Volume Purchase Program are back online.

Update at 4:58 p.m. Pacific: At this point, Mail Drop and iCloud Storage Updates are back to normal, Apple says.

Update at 10:25 p.m. Pacific: All of the services affected by today’s outage are now back online, according to Apple. The iCloud Backup, iCloud Drive, iCloud Notes, iCloud Web Apps, iWork for iCloud, and Photos services have now been restored.
