Apple announced today that its App Store has surpassed 2 million apps and 130 billion downloads, resulting in nearly $50 billion paid out to developers.
We’d love to compare that figure with Google’s Play Store, but the company hasn’t shared similar statistics recently. Way back in February 2015, Google said it had paid app and game developers “more than $7 billion” over the course of a year.
