Today Apple unveiled its latest iteration of Xcode, the company’s suite of tools for OS X, iOS, and watchOS developers.
Apple developers can download the Xcode 7 beta pre-release now, free of charge. It’s available here.

It also comes with the new Gaming API, GameplayKit, Model I/O, and ReplayKit features.
It also comes with the new version of Apple’s Swift programming language, Swift 2. New capabilities include error handling, synthesized headers in Xcode.

As the tool of choice for building iOS and Mac apps, Swift sits comfortable at the core of Xcode 7 beta. With Apple announcing today that it will open-source Swift, developers will be able to get at it outside of Xcode. Still, Xcode is well used for building apps for Apple devices, so Xcode isn’t going away anytime soon.
