AT&T said Saturday it’s starting a new promotion that doubles the amount of data offered in its upper-tier shared data plans.
So the carrier’s 15-gigabyte plans become 30-gigabyte plans. On the high end, the 50-gigabyte plans become 100-gig plans.
AT&T’s mobile share plans work like this: You pay a single base price for voice, text messages, and data. These base prices range from $130 to $365. For each additional phone you add to the plan you pay an additional fee.
Customers who sign up for AT&T’s “Next” monthly installment plan, or who bring their own device, will pay $15 per additional line. Customers who sign up for a service contract will pay $40 per month per line.
