Barcelona-based startup TravelPerk announced today that it has scored a $7 million investment, led by Spark Capital.
TravelPerk’s free traveling service aims to help users budget, book, and manage business travel. With a database that stores transaction details such as passenger information, payment methods, confirmations, and expenses, the startup promises to “save over 30 percent on travel costs and free up 80 percent of your time.”
TravelPerk said that it will use the capital to triple its personnel in the company’s Barcelona headquarters, develop its product, and expand globally.
“The problems associated with business travel management are both longstanding and universal. We are incredibly excited to be supporting the team as they accelerate expansion globally,” said Spark Capital partner Alex Finkelstein.
