Activision isn’t going to skimp on its update of one of the most influential games of all time.

Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare Remastered is getting all 16 maps from the original game. At the Call of Duty XP event in Los Angeles today, Activision confirmed for the first time that it is updating more than just 10 of the games multiplayer stages. Anyone who owns Modern Warfare Remastered will get the 6 additional maps in December as a free update. This new version of Call of Duty 4 is coming November 4 as a bonus for the special-edition versions of Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare. It will introduce improved visuals and dedicated servers.

Activision is still saying that Modern Warfare Remastered is only available in the special versions of Infinite Warfare, and this seems like an effort to improve sales for that game. Call of Duty is still the top-selling release in the United States most years, but its popularity is experiencing a downward trend following its peak with entries like Advanced Warfare. By including Modern Warfare Remastered — and making it clear that it has all 16 maps — Activision will probably lock a few more preorders in place for the next Call of Duty.
