Microsoft has purchased France-based notifications startup Capptain, the company announced today. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Capptain helps app developers retain users by sending out push notifications to entice them to stick around based on behavioral data and real-time analytics.

Capptain’s technology will be integrated into Microsoft’s cloud-based Azure software suite, but Capptain will continue to offer its services for new and existing clients for the time being, according to Microsoft.
