Master Chief has always killed, but now he must build.

Minecraft is getting a Halo mashup pack for Xbox 360 tomorrow. This $4 expansion will bring Halo-themed menus, items, and music into the Xbox 360 version of the block-building phenomenon. It will also see 40 player skins that depict characters from Microsoft’s first-person-shooter franchise. That includes Master Chief, of course, but it will also enable gamers to run around their pixellated worlds as Cortana, Arbiter, and more.

This is the latest Minecraft expansion to hit the Xbox 360 Edition, which has previously seen expansion packs with content from open-world role-playing game The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim and the Marvel Comics’ The Avengers.

Late in 2013, Minecraft developer Mojang and its partner, 4J Studios, ported the game to PlayStation 3, and Sony has released packs based on its games like the action title Uncharted and shooter Killzone. These skin packs, both for the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions, likely generate a significant amount of money considering that Minecraft is continually one of the best-selling games.

Of course, on PC — where Minecraft started in beta in 2009 — gamers can download skins packs and mods for free that enable all kinds of crazy mashups. Regardless of that openness, many gamers and families find it easier to play on consoles or mobile.

Minecraft is next due out for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PlayStation Vita. The game will hit Microsoft’s new-gen console in August, and the company announced last week that people who own it for Xbox 360 can upgrade for $5. Everyone else can pick it up for $20. When it comes out, players will have the ability to transfer their worlds and downloadable content from Xbox 360 to Xbox One.
