Chromecast gets apps for Showtime, Starz, plus a handful of trivia and board games

Google announced the launch of 10 new apps for its Chromecast streaming stick today, including apps for “Showtime Anytime,” Starz, and eight trivia and board games.

The new Starz and Showtime apps join existing TV streaming apps for Chromecast, like HBO Go, Hulu Plus, and Watch ESPN.

As for Google’s new games, Chromecast now offers the following, only some of which are actually recognizable: Wheel of Fortune, Hasbro’s Monopoly Dash, Scrabble Blitz, Connect Four Quads, Simon Swipe, Just Dance Now, Big Web Quiz, and Emoji Party.
