Colorado companies: Get feedback from the Foundry Group

Colorado companies: Get feedback from the Foundry Group

If you’re a tech company in driving distance from Boulder, Colo., and are considering launching your product over the next year or so, you should join VentureBeat for a meetup with Foundry Group in two weeks.

We’re inviting up to 10 companies who are contemplating launching products at DEMO (either the next DEMO event in Palm Desert, Feb. 27 – Mar. 1, or DEMO Fall 2011) to pitch on Tuesday, October 26th, at the Foundry Group offices at 1050 Walnut Street, Suite 210, Boulder.

DEMO is a good place to launch your company or product, because of the unprecedented publicity you get there. The nation’s top tech media attends, as do leading venture capitalists and business development executives. Everyone from Netscape to VMWare has launched there over the years.

Aside from editing VentureBeat, I’m the Executive Producer of DEMO and am in charge of selecting DEMO companies. So this is a chance to pitch me and other members of the DEMO team. You’ll also have the opportunity to meet with senior partners at Foundry. Each presentation will get at least 20 minutes, followed by 10 minutes of feedback.

We’ve done this before at other firms around the country, including Benchmark Capital, Madrona, Austin Ventures, and Kleiner Perkins as part of our worldwide quest to find the best entrepreneurs.

As was the case with the others, there’s no exclusive deal with Foundry; like us, they just want to hear about new companies and ideas. If you’re interested in attending the open house, please fill out this form.

If you’re selected as one of the 10 companies, we’ll follow up immediately with more information.

After the Foundry meetup, we’ll head over for cocktails at the Absinthe House (1109 Walnut Street) from 7PM to 9PM, which will be open to the entire Boulder tech scene. The first 100 drinks are on DEMO, so start spreading the word. At this event, the 10 companies who met with us during the day will have the opportunity to give a 90 second presentation to the entire party. If you’d like to attend the cocktail event, register here.

Look forward to seeing you!
