Connected car startup Automile drives home $6.2 million

Automile, an Internet of Things startup that helps companies manage their vehicle fleets, announced today that it secured a $6.2 million investment.

Led by Jason Lemkin’s SaaStr Fund, followed by Dawn Capital, Twitch founder Justin Kan, and Skype founder Niklas Zennström, Automile plans to accelerate its growth.

“Automile has pioneered a new way to help [SaaS startups] leverage the promise of IoT to address their most critical business challenges and gain the insights they need to continually improve their operations,” said Lemkin.

To date, the Palo Alto startup has raised at least $11.55 million.
