Doxo raises $10M to cut down on paper documents: The Seattle-based company has raised a second round of funding led by Sigma Partners to help users manage bills and other documents in one place online. Currently available on an invite basis, the service launched in October and claims to help users, by organizing bill payment and other important tasks, and to help businesses, by cutting expenses and environmental waste associated with paper mailings.

Inlogy gets $1.3M to solve “a really challenging problem” for large businesses: The Los Altos, Calif.-based enterprise software startup, currently in stealth mode, has raised a first round of funding, according to a filing with the SEC. Founded in 2010, the company suggests on its website that it will help businesses find the “right person, right away.”

Solvate brings in $4M to find work for freelancers online: The developer of a platform that matches employers with independent professionals online has raised a second round of funding from RRE Ventures, DFJ Gotham and the company’s chief executive. The New York-based company, which launched at DEMO Spring 2010, helps more than 1,000 professionals find work in fields like SEO, iPhone app development and market research.

ThingWorx raises $5M to connect people and things: The developer of an app platform has raised a second round of funding led by Safeguard Scientifics to connect people, systems and devices through its apps. Based in Downingtown, Penn., the company says its product has applications in the manufacturing, utilities, transportation and energy industries.
