Dell has launched its own salvo of laptops, desktops, and gaming PCs based on Intel’s Haswell microprocessor technology.

At the Computex trade show in Taiwan, Dell ia rolling out a variety of touch-enabled computers with security features. The lineup includes new versions of its Latitude, OptiPlex, and XPS laptops and desktops. All of the computers use Haswell, or Intel’s fourth-generation Core microprocessors. Those new chips launched today.

“We have taken outstanding products and made them even better with improved performance, sleek design and state-of-the-art security and management capabilities,” said Kirk Schell, the vice president of Dell’s PC product group. “We’re constantly listening to customers and improving our leading edge products based upon their input. Through enhanced components and engineering, we’re providing customers with a great computing experience and helping them realize the efficiency and productivity benefits provided through improved performance.”

Among the highlights is a 27-inch all-in-one PC under the XPS brand. The device has an Adobe RGB Quad HD display. The company is also launching an XPS 8700 desktop and an XPS 12 convertible laptop. That XPS 12 is now 1.6 times faster than a prior model and it has more than 8 hours and 43 minutes of battery life, or more than two hours over a previous model.

The Latitude E6540 has built-in security for commercial laptop customers. It also has file-level encryption. The OptiPlex 9020 is a manageability focused desktop computer for the enterprise that uses Intel’s vPro technology. Dell also has a 21.5-inch touch monitor, the S2240T.
