DiscoveryBeat, which takes place Oct. 18, is all about how to get your content noticed. And we’re hosting a new type of contest, to award the companies that have best demonstrated how to get discovered on the new mobile platforms (such as Apple and Android) and other social platforms (Facebook, etc). We’re holding the event at San Francisco’s Mission Bay conference center.
If you’re a developer, social network, or mobile or gaming company, we’d like to hear how you used business tactics and strategies to get traction and visibility in today’s cross-platform world. Areas we’ll be looking at include which platforms you used and how they helped; which social or technology strategies you applied to get distribution; and how you mixed these with more traditional PR and marketing methods. The top 5 finalists will present on the main stage at the conference to explain their techniques, and our panel of industry-expert judges will pick the winner.
The contest kicks off today on the DiscoveryBeat web site. The deadline for entering is 5 pm Pacific time on Oct. 1.
