Those electronic smarts allow credit cards to perform tricks like drawing on different lines of credit or offering enhanced security. Citi Cards, one of the largest issuers, is experimenting with Card 2.0 to let customers choose to spend normally or use reward points at the cash register.
The Pittsburgh, Pa.-based company has raised $5.7 million from Adams Capital Management.
