Get ready for Edward Snowden, the movie.
Glenn Greenwald has signed a movie deal with Sony for his book No Place to Hide: Edward Snowden, the NSA and the U.S. Surveillance State, the New York Times reports.
Curiously, Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli are slated to produce the film; the duo is best known for producing the latest wave of James Bond films, Skyfall and Quantum of Solace.
Hollywood interest in a Snowden film has grown since Greenwald’s book was first teased last fall. Sony is perhaps well suited for this film, however, given its past experience with movies like The Social Network.
