Apple unveils the iPad Air 2

As rumored, Apple announced the iPad Air 2 today. The successor to the original iPad Air is the latest version of the company’s full-sized tablet.ipad-air-appleThe iPad Air 2 is 18 percent thinner than the original iPad Air, and Apple claims it is the world’s thinnest tablet (two iPad Air 2s on top of each other are thinner than the original iPad). More specifically, it is just 6.1 mm thick.

The iMac goes Retina

Apple today announced a new version of the iMac with a “Retina Display,” its marketing term for screens that are so sharp you can’t see individual pixels.

The new iMac’s 27-inch screen features a ridiculously high 5120-by-2880 screen, which Apple is calling the “Retina 5K” display. It will sell for $2,499, starting with a 4 GHz Core i7 processor and a powerful Radeon R9 graphics card.

Apple upgrades the Mac mini, drops price to $499

As previously rumored, today Apple launched an upgraded Mac mini, featuring 4th-generation Intel Core processors, two Thunderbolt ports, and updated Intel Iris graphics. Key to today’s Mac mini upgrade is the price: The device is now $100 cheaper, retailing at $499.

Apple launches iPad mini 3

Apple today announced the iPad mini 3, an upgraded 7.9-inch iPad mini tablet, now available in gold. Apple shares that the iPad mini 3 will retail for $399 with 16 GB of storage, $499 for 64 GB of storage, and $599 for 128 GB of storage.
