Chatbots are the future — thanks to Facebook, which announced yesterday it was jumping to the front of the parade by adding them to its Messenger platform.
This announcement has brought a rush of companies flooding into the space, all eager to help us talk to machines.
But no announcement may be more thrilling-slash-terrifying than word that the AI-alter-ego of Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump is on its way. ChatPrime, a company that builds and deploys chatbots, says on its website that Donalddrumpfbot is “coming soon” to Facebook Messenger.
It’s already on Telegram and available by text and Twitter. But soon, it will be within reach of Facebook’s more than 1 billion users.

For now, you can get a taste of Donalddrumpfbot by visiting this old-fashioned thing called a “website” where, you can talk to The Donald.
And if that is not enough to satiate your conservative chatbot cravings, don’t forget that MIT has its own Donald chatbot on Twitter.
