Square Enix plans for Final Fantasy XV to be more than a game.

During an event today called Uncovered: Final Fantasy XV in Hollywood, Calif., the developer and publisher revealed that its anticipated action role-playing game will also get its own anime series and computer-animated, full-length movie. Thanks to a leak earlier in the day, we know that Final Fantasy XV is coming on September 30 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

The anime, titled Brotherhood, is a series of five 10-minute shows, with the first one going live tonight. Each one focuses on Noctis, the main character of Final Fantasy XV, and one of his relationships. The film, Kingsglaive, will come to digital platforms later this year and will star Noctis’ father. Sean Bean will voice that character while Lena Headey voices the female lead Luna. Aaron Paul also stars in it.

Each installment in the main Final Fantasy series is self-contained, meaning that Final Fantasy II and Final Fantasy XII, for example, have little to nothing in common minus thematic and some gameplay similarities. However, Square Enix still likes to turn some entries into their own franchises. Final Fantasy VII had its own movie, Advent Children, and spinoff games like Crisis Core while Final Fantasy XIII had two of its own sequels (Final Fantasy XIII-2 and Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII).
