Coursera receives lots of attention in the business of helping millions of people take free courses online. Now, Udemy has a shot at becoming just as big of a name. The startup announced $32 million in new funding today. Norwest Venture Partners led the round. Insight Venture Partners and MHS Capital also participated. With its new funding, Udemy can expand the list of courses it offers and grow its footprint around the globe. The company can also provide better tooling to help teachers create courses.

Network-performance tracker ThousandEyes picks up $20M
ThousandEyes, a company with software for monitoring the performance of cloud-based applications, has raised $20 million in new funding, according to a regulatory filing it submitted today to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.

FieldLens raises $8M
FieldLens, a startup with mobile software that helps people working on construction projects communicate and assign tasks, announced today that it has raised $8 million in venture funding. OpenView Venture Partners led the round. Borealis Ventures, Contour Venture Partners, High Peaks Venture Partners, Lerer Ventures, NYC Seed, and Softbank Capital also participated. The product launched two months ago, and now FieldLens can try to increase adoption and add features.
