RedOwl secures $17M

Security startup RedOwl Analytics announced today that it had closed a $17 million series B round led by Allegis Capital. Robert Ackerman, founder of the venture firm, joined RedOwl’s board. The company has raised almost $30 million to date and said it plans to use the capital from the latest round to fuel the product development and data science teams.

Blackstone and Marc Benioff, Salesforce’s CEO, also participated in the series B round.

Mr Gabriel snags $650K to grow its security app

VProject, a French startup that designed what it calls “the first personal safety app specifically designed for the Apple Watch,” announced today that they raised almost $650,000 to fund Mr Gabriel. Tikehau Capital Advisors led the round, and it was followed by undisclosed private investors and “major tech companies,” according to VProject.

With more than $7 million collected by the company, VProjects said it plans hire more developers to “increase Mr Gabriel’s real-time machine learning.”
