Ticketfly raises $50M led by Riverwood Capital

Riverwood Capital led $50 million round for Ticketfly, an event management software company for promoters and fans. The San Francisco-based startup announced today that the money from the round will be used to fuel “a reimagined event-going experience for fans,” and “accelerate development of its industry-leading cloud-based live events platform, including new products and services for its existing client base.”

Ticketfly has raised $89 million to date.

Mailjet raises $11M Series B, primed to grow in a crowded email marketing space

Mailjet, one of many email providers in an increasingly complex email landscape, is announcing an $11 million Series B funding round today, bringing its total to $17.5 million from Iris Capital, Alven Capital, and new investor, Seventure. The company is using the funds to expand globally and continue adding to their suite of tools for better personalized emails.

When I Work closes $5M round

Schedule management app When I Work announced today that it secured $5 million for its second round. The investment was led by e.Ventures, Greycroft Partners, and Arthur Ventures.

The Toronto-based startup also announced that it had acquired workforce management startup Shifthub.

When I Work said that it will use the funds from the round to expand operations. The startup has raised at least $9 million since last year.

Crayon wants to be marketing’s Wayback Machine … and inspiration warehouse

Sort of like the Internet’s Wayback Machine.

Crayon, which just relaunched its website today and raised a $1.5 million seed round from a who’s who of Boston angel investors — including HubSpot’s two founders and CEO, CTO, and CMO — wants to help marketers learn from their mistakes. And their successes.

Investors include Eric Ries of Lean Startup fame; a professor at MIT, Othman Laraki, who founded Mixer Labs before it was acquired by Twitter; the cofounder and CEO of HubSpot, Brian Halligan; the cofounder and CTO of HubSpot, Dharmesh Shah; and the CMO of HubSpot, Mike Volpe.

Virtuous Software raises $700k led by Access Ventures for its CRM for charities

It’s no surprise that every industry has some form of customer relationship management (CRM) tool, including the non-profit space. It’s here that keeping in touch with donors is especially important and one company that wants to take advantage of the market is Virtuous Software. To help it get started, it announced that it has raised a $700,000 seed round from investors.
