Microsoft leads $12.2M round for Unify Square
Unify Square closed a “series B extension” round led by Microsoft. The startup announced today the conclusion of the round, which was initiated back in February with $8.2 million, and led by Microsoft, with collaboration from former executives of Yahoo, IBM and Ariba.
The “extension” adds $4 million to help Unify Square with its plans for global expansion.
The startup helps businesses adopt and deploy Microsoft Lync and Skype.

Startup Genee raises $1.4M
Genee, which operates a cloud-based scheduling platform for businesses, announced today that it raised $1.4 million from Uj Ventures and Streamline Ventures.
The startup says its product is an “artificial intelligence platform that interprets natural language through a core interface that plugs directly into email and other communication tools” to set up meetings and appointments that work for both parties.
