Milan-based United Ventures today announced the close of its first fund, totalling to $80 million. UV says its new fund “signals a renewed interest by investors into the European tech sector.”

Pre-IPO Cardlytics lands $70M
Your money in a bank makes money for the bank. But Atlanta-based Cardlytics also helps them make money on your digital trail — and it has just scored a whopping $70 million to expand beyond banks as it readies for IPO. The Series F round, led by Discovery Capital, brings the total raised by Cardlytics to slightly over $170 million.

Fitness tracker Strava raises $18.5M, wants to build Facebook for athletes
Strava, a GPS tracking app for cyclers and runners, just raised $18.5 million to expand its services to more athletes. In addition to tracking fitness, Strava collects data about its athletes and allows them to connect on its platform. It has also launched Strava Metro, a database of preferred running and cycling routes based on user information.
ScoreBig raises $18.3M for its ‘name your price’ ticket marketplace
The Los Angeles-based company lets customers “name their price” for event tickets and matches them with sellers willing to take their bids. The company is announcing today that it has raised $18.3 million in new funding that it will use to expand its online and mobile products, lock in new partnerships, and grow its user base. Hearst Ventures led the new round, with participation from new and existing investors.
Krimmeni Technologies Raises $11.7M in Series A Venture Financing Round
Krimmeni Technologies, a company that develops secure communications technologies for data centers and the Internet-of-Things. The company has raised $11.7M in new funding.
