Deep-learning startup MetaMind launches with $8M
Founder Richard Socher and his team at the 4-month-old startup want to demonstrate MetaMind‘s ability to process images and text better than any other available technology out there to perform deep learning. Toward that end, in addition to announcing an $8 million funding round from Khosla Ventures and Salesforce chief Marc Benioff, today Palo Alto-based MetaMind is introducing multiple demonstrations of its technical capabilities on its website.
Viewbix raises $3M
Viewbix, a company providing video advertising and interactive tools, announced it has raised $3 million in new funding. The funding came from new investor 2M Companies, and previous investors Canaan Partners and Longfellow Venture Partners. The company will use the new funding to acquire new customers and continue to develop its products.
