Weave raises a $15.5M series B round for its small business communication platform
Weave announced today that it has raised a $15.5 million series B round of funding that will enable it to provide updated communication technology to small and medium-size businesses. Led by Crosslink Capital, this Y Combinator alumnus will likely expand beyond its focus on dentistry and orthodontics to other industries.
Photo-sharing app 17 Media raises $10M
17 Media, the Asian startup behind a new photo and video sharing app, announced today that it closed a $10 million series A round. Infinity Venture Partners and Prometheus Capital led the investment.

Hivemapper raises $3M to be Waze for drones
Today Hivemapper is launching a public beta of its mapping app on Google Play. The app integrates with DJI drones to give pilots access to data-rich, localized maps so they can better control their drones. The 3D maps show viewers their drone in relation to buildings, trees, and even boats. It also includes information about no-fly zones and accident data, so pilots know what areas to avoid.
In addition to the launch, the company is also announcing a $3 million seed round led by New York-based Spark Capital. Google Ventures, Harrison Metal, Homebrew Capital, Founder Collective, and a few angels also contributed.
