Lytro raises $50M amid pivot

Lytro, a photography startup specializing in re-focusing imaging tech, today announced a $50 million raise led by GSV Capital. Cash in hand, Lytro says it will shift focus (sorry) and will apply its tech to new areas, including virtual reality and video, according to Recode. Due to the new direction, the company may cut as much as 38 percent of its workforce.

ironSource scores $20M for its ‘one-stop shop’ for apps

Creating a great app is only the first step. Tel Aviv-based digital delivery platform ironSource is today announcing it has raised $20 million so it can continue helping developers take the next steps. The platform handles app discovery, distribution, delivery, and monetization of desktop and mobile apps, with over seven million installs daily.
