Automic, a leader in business automation software, today announced it has been listed as a representative ‘established and active vendor’ in Gartner’s recent Market Guide for Application Release Automation (ARA) Solutions. Gartner has defined categories of ‘established and active’, ‘evolving’ and ’emerging’ and categorized vendors accordingly. Automic views the growing global DevOps market as a strategic area of focus for the business.
The ARA market is, “Driven by growing business demands for rapid (if not continuous) delivery of new applications, features and updates.” Furthermore, “enterprise infrastructure and operations (I&O) leaders invest in ARA solutions to simultaneously improve both the quality and the velocity of application releases.”1
Todd DeLaughter, CEO of Automic Software, said, “We are very proud of our inclusion in the elite group of ‘established and active representative’ vendors in the Gartner Market Guide for Application Release Automation, and believe it validates our commitment to this market and to the needs of our clients as they embrace the DevOps transformation.”
Further, Jonathan Shaw, SaaS Ops Man at eviivo, the online hotel and accommodation booking services platform, relies on Automic’s ARA product for the full control and flexibility required to synchronize new app releases with the deployment of environmental components, such as new releases, patches and configuration file updates. Shaw states, “Our customers rely on the eviivo platform to underpin their businesses, so stability and the effective management of new releases must be seamless. Using Automic Release Automation means we can deliver new apps to our users more efficiently and reduces the time it takes to oversee that process.”
The Gartner Market Guide concludes, “The agility and quality benefits of ARA solutions become increasingly obvious as DevOps initiatives scale beyond a handful of applications. The tools themselves have reached adequate maturity to support the code movement and environmental management of very large implementations (hundreds of applications across thousands of infrastructure elements).”2
Unique in the industry, Automic provides a release automation product that is built on top of the open, scalable ONE Automation platform. This empowers businesses to grow their enterprise automation from Release Automation to Workload Automation and Service Orchestration from a single platform. Customers value the extensibility of the platform and the long term ROI of the Automic platform approach.
