Get ready, agents: Crackdown’s back for Xbox One

LOS ANGELES — Crackdown’s finally back.

Microsoft announced a new entry in the Crackdown franchise for the Xbox One today during its Electronic Entertainment Expo media briefing. It promises a single-player and cooperative campaign along with new multiplayer experiences.

The trailer shown at the media briefing displayed a colorful, neon-filled world similar to previous Crackdown games. Dave Jones, the creator of the original Crackdown, is back for this third installment, which seems to also just go by Crackdown.

Microsoft gave no release date, but it was shown during a part of its conference reserved for games coming out next year and beyond. The last Crackdown game came in 2010.
