GoDaddy is expanding its Pro offering today by adding a new multi-WordPress website management tool to the mix.
To recap, in September GoDaddy acquired ManageWP, a Serbian startup that lets users manage multiple WordPress websites from a single dashboard. The move made sense for GoDaddy, when you consider that it already offered domain name registrations and hosting, as it could now also offer businesses and bloggers better publishing tools, too.

The internet domain name registrar and web hosting giant already offered a Pro service, with things like a client dashboard that allows web designers / developers to view and manage all their clients from a single place. It also serves up additional tools, such as shared shopping carts and client-site monitoring. Now, with Pro ManageWP in the mix, devs and designers can manage and bulk-update multiple WordPress sites with a single click.

“More than 50 percent of small businesses hire a web professional to build or maintain their websites every year, and this is true for many of our 14 million customers,” said Jeff King, SVP of Hosting at GoDaddy. “We continue to strengthen our partnerships with web pros globally, especially through our world-class platform and Pro Program that provides innovative tools and great economic benefits.”
It’s also worth noting here that Pro ManageWP will work regardless of host — so you can use the service even if you’re hosting elsewhere. But naturally this new offering will be used as leverage by GoDaddy to entice new users to switch to its hosting service.
Meanwhile, ManageWP still continues to operate a range of additional services under its own brand, including website monitoring, backups, automated migration, deployment, publishing, and more.
