Google Home has a few Easter eggs

The Google Home.

Google is known for including Easter eggs, or hidden features, in its services. The forthcoming $129 Google Home smart speaker is no different. But rather than let them surface on social media or online message boards, Google has opted to identify some of the Easter eggs up front, weeks before the devices start shipping to consumers.

The Easter eggs are identified on Google’s new Made by Google website, which shows off different features of the Google Home, as well as other recently unveiled Google hardware, like the Pixel phones, Daydream View virtual reality headset, and Google Wi-Fi router.

Of course, the Google Home is good for more than just having fun. As the website points out, you can tell it to do a wide variety of things, like provide financial information (“What did Google close at?” or “How is the S&P 500 doing?”), perform calculations (“What is 18 percent of 92?” or “What’s 2 to the power of 30?”), set alarms (“Wake me up at 6 a.m. tomorrow,” or just “Snooze”), play podcasts (“Play the latest episode of ‘This American Life'”), and provide updates on your plane trips (“Is my flight on time?” or “Is my British Airways flight delayed?”).

But you know you’ll want some party tricks, and for this product launch, Google has you covered. Here are the ones that are posted on the Google Home website so far:
