Vic Gundotra, one of Google’s most visible product chiefs, has left the company.
In a Google+ post, the exec gave no clues about his next move, saying, “Now is the time for a new journey. A continuation. … I am excited about what’s next. But this isn’t the day to talk about that.”

As such, he was responsible for the creation and growth of Google+, the company’s overarching social strategy.
He had been at Google for nearly eight years. Prior to that, he worked at Microsoft.
